Discharges, Dielectrics and Diagnostics Division (3D-Vision) has been formed by the merger of the previous Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Division and High Voltage Condition Monitoring and Diagnostics Division. The new division focuses on the following research areas:

  1. Electrical Discharge, detection, and monitoring
  2. Partial discharge analysis on polymeric insulating materials
  3. Condition monitoring of high voltage equipment
  4. Diagnosis and fault analysis
  5. Forensic investigation
  6. Material assessment
  7. Plasma and ozone generation applications
  8. Low voltage and telecommunication surge protective devices
